
The above photo was taken in 1975 at an old abandoned house not far from here. My buddy Vince and I were out snapping photos and getting accustomed to a couple of old cameras. I was using a Rolleiflex twin-lens camera that was used at waist level, looking down at the viewfinder.

It took 120 size film, 12 exposures to a roll, and made large 2-1/4″ x 2-1/4″ negatives. Although it made good photos, it was cumbersome to use, particularly when photographing moving objects.
But that’s what I used to cover high school football and basketball games until the yearbook staff bought an SLR.
I saved all the yearbook negatives from my senior year, and scanned them a couple years ago. They’re all posted at:
