Career Path 1975

Each spring, the Clemson School of Engineering’s would host an Open House for high school students to learn about the disciplines and options available for prospective students.

This photo was taken from Fort Hill Street, next to the Dillard Building, looking toward the stadium. At time, there were no stadium upper decks.

All the disciplines had displays and I visited several. Of them all, the displays in the Electrical Engineering department captured my interest the most.

This was a demo of sending a signal via microwave. The receiver was out of frame to the left.

This demo of a primitive “home made” synthesizer, was what made me settle on Electrical Engineering as a career.
