Spring in the Sun
I believe Billy and/or Gary snapped these photos. We were at the Liberty Track Meet. I had ridden there with Aaron in his Dodge Dart listening to Alice Cooper’s “Billion Dollar Babies” album on the 8-track.
“Jimmy Spots a UFO”
Was the yearbook caption for this photo. The disc can be seen in the upper-right. I was pleased that my feet were off the ground. You can’t tell it in this black and white photo, but those were purple Converse All-Stars.

Bobby Clears the High Jump
He had an unusual style. Sort of an inverted Fosbury Flop, but it worked.
I met Bobby in the first grade, we became fast friends, and remained close. He’ll remain “forever young”, as we lost him in April of our senior year. No one brightened up a room like Bobby.

A Moment in Time
This is one of my favorite yearbook photos. Mostly because we were young, but it also seems to capture the range of optimism. Ann made history being the first female on our school’s track team.

Bonus Ann Portrait
I often lurked the school hallways snapping “candid” photos for the yearbook. Ann was always a good sport and didn’t seem to mind when I took a little extra time for this mesmerizing shot.

Bonus Bobby Photo
That’s Bobby in the top-right, with his customary big smile. His mom called him “Bozo” because he clowned around a lot.
